Salem Redsox | Ballpark #7 of 8

Earlier this week the boys played in Salem, VA against the Salem Redsox - the Advanced A affiliated of the Boston Redsox.  It was such a pretty drive across the Blue Ridge mountain range and close enough that the girls and I were able to go and come back every day.

Sunday they played at 4 p.m. and Monday at 7 p.m. so the girls all went on Sunday but only a few of us went on Monday to see D.J. play.  This now makes it 7/8 ballparks in this league that I've been too.  I want to make the trip to Wilmington, Delaware, but haven't found the right time to go yet.  Hopefully sometime before the season ends.

D.J. has been playing pretty well this season, but seems to have an "every other game" trend going on.  This game is Salem was his "good" game of the rotation and pitched 7 innings allowing only 5 hits, 1 earned run, 2 walks, and 5 strikeouts.

The next time D.J. is scheduled to pitch is on July 4th, which will be the third year in a row he plays on the holiday!

This boy is seriously the best kid in baseball.  He is always moving around, but between all the girls here, he always has someone watching/holding/squeezing those chubby cheeks of his.

As the sun set on the ballpark, the moon was shining bright.  I couldn't help but snap these awesome pictures of the field and moon.

Happy early 4th of July, friends!

  1. Did you see the little Green Monster in Salem? We went there last year and had so much fun.
